Especially after pregnancy, separation of the rectus abdominis muscles – diastasis and/or abdominal hernia – is a common problem.
The goal of this procedure is to reduce excess skin and overall firming of the abdominal wall.
At our clinic you can choose the following procedure:
- Mini abdominoplasty
- Abdominoplasty
Process of the operation
This is a surgical procedure under general anesthesia, lasting approximately 2-3 hours, during which liposuction is performed as needed, excess skin with subcutaneous tissue and fat are released from the abdominal wall and, if necessary (spacing of the rectus abdominis muscles), the cover of the rectus abdominis muscles is sutured. The resulting scar is placed in the lower abdomen (mini abdominoplasty) or around the navel (abdominoplasty).
Postoperative Regime
The procedure requires 2 nights in the clinic, an escort upon departure and a six-week postoperative regimen. To achieve the maximum possible result and minimize the risk of possible complications, it is necessary to wear a compression belt and avoid physical exertion for at least 6 weeks after the operation. Check-ups are after the first, second and sixth weeks after the operation. You can expect the final result after 3 months from the operation, depending on the individual healing.
