Process of the operation
The procedure can be performed under general or local anesthesia and takes approximately 1 hour, during which excess tissue, skin and mucosa are removed from the area and the remaining tissue is modeled to achieve the desired result. The resulting scars are in the groove between the labia minora and labia majora in the lower quarter of the labia minora, extending over the edge to the inner surface of the labia minora on both sides. The suture material is absorbable.
Postoperative Regime
The procedure requires 1 night in the clinic, an escort upon departure and a six-week postoperative regimen. To achieve the maximum possible result and minimize the risk of possible complications, it is necessary to follow a sparing regimen (limit exercise, sexual intercourse and friction in the area) and intensify hygiene for at least 6 weeks after the operation. Check-ups are after the first, second and sixth weeks after the operation. Evaluation of the aesthetic effect of the operation is appropriate only after 3 months after the procedure.
